I will dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Former twice unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
